"Though you be away from me, you can not escape the love"______Nicole K. Phillips for Abornewords

MontBlanc writing instruments sounds so fancy, but it is rightfully befitting for such an important object used to bring pen and paper together. Because of the construction of these carefully crafted pens, you may occasionally lean to display and admiration instead of a spill of your thoughts.

The most unique of the editions, the Montblanc John Lennon Limited Edition 70, is a prestigious collector's piece limited to only 70 pieces celebrating his 70th birthday. Echoing his most recognized solo hit, the word "Imagine", rendered in a skeleton of 750 white gold, encircles the writing instrument. The blue tone of the transparent precious resin on the cap and barrel makes a fond reference to Lennon's trademark round blue glasses. The colour is repeated in the sapphire set on the clip alongside three diamonds that mark out the chord for the song "Imagine". His music talent is celebrated again in the writing instrument's cone, expertly lacquered to resemble a piano keyboard. Also with this edition, the 18K gold nib bears John Lennon's self-portrait signature

However, I beg you to be so inspired as to force yourself and your creative spirit to release all that is in you, on paper of course. The visual appearance is only an introduction to the brilliance of MontBlanc, for creating such a tool, but it is not a manifestation of your brilliance or the only way to reveal it.  Although designed as a collectors item in commemoration of John Lennon, a great artist and songwriter, whose name is associated with peace, to own it without use is only to imagine (in your own mind) what greatness could be.  You do yourself a disservice if you give in to uniting with it only on display.  Once it's in your palms, magical things can happen and become the reality that connects you, your personality, and your story to someone else, inspiring them to continue what you have started.

Maestro Valery Gergiev is the first to receive a Montblanc John Lennon Edition writing instrument from Lutz Bethge, CEO Montblanc International, during the Montblanc New Voices Award in the context of the White Nights Festival .....

MontBlanc designed the barrel in the style of imitation to provide the visual attractiveness of an old-style vinyl record with the clip following in the shape of a guitar head, with pegs and etched out strings on the neck.  The John Lennon Legacy Lives on.  MontBlanc remembers and so should you.  Peace is eternal and should be appreciated even when you can not have it all to yourself.  Listen to Imagine

The next time you pick up a pen remember.  What? To make sure you're using the right one.  Unbelievable things can happen. I know what you like.      Shop Montblanc Products
